Kraus collating and foiling system

Kraus collating and foiling system was designed for customers willing to optimize the packaging process.
The machine has been first introduced on packaging line of online pharmaceuticals supplier.

Advantages of the solution:
Automation of packaging process resulted in limitation of costs, as well as increased stability of products during transport (foiling of products in semi-sleeve eliminates necessity of using additional filling materials stabilizing products packed in cartons - it is especially important for transport of fragile products, such as glass containers and electronic components).

Description of operation:
Kraus feeder mounted upstream of the packaging line feeds carton trays on conveyor with pushers.
Line operators place the products on trays.
Trays are being transported towards the foiling machine, where they are covered in foil (semi-sleeve).
Next step is shrinking of foil around the group of products, resulting in solid, safe package.
Foiled package is being transferred to folding machine, which forms a tray into final package, which can be placed inside the carton.
While forming, it is also possible to code the cartons with additional inkjet print or label. The prints can be vision-checked.
